Rachel Williams - Former Marketing Executive, Now Business Owner
The Before
I had the 'perfect' corporate career. VP of Marketing at a Fortune 500 company. Six-figure salary. Corner office. Impressive title.
And I was absolutely miserable.
Every day felt like I was wearing a mask. I had to be someone I wasn't—corporate, polished, strategic. I couldn't express my creativity, my values, my truth. I was playing a role, and it was killing my soul.
I'd achieved everything my parents wanted for me, everything society said would make me successful. But I'd completely lost myself in the process.
I didn't even know who I was anymore. I'd spent so long being what everyone else needed that I had no idea what I actually wanted.
The Turning Point
During a corporate retreat, we did an exercise where we shared our 'why'—our deeper purpose for our work. Everyone gave polished, corporate-approved answers.
When it was my turn, I froze. I realized I didn't have a 'why.' I was doing this work because it paid well and looked impressive. But it meant nothing to me.
I went back to my hotel room and cried. I was 42 years old and had no idea why I was doing what I was doing. I'd spent two decades building a career that wasn't mine.
That night, I decided: I'd rather fail at something I loved than succeed at something that was killing my soul.
The Transformation
I started with Getting Unbound to address my achievement addiction and people-pleasing patterns. I needed to understand why I'd spent my entire life doing what others expected instead of what I wanted.
The work was painful. I had to confront how much of my identity was based on external validation. I had to face the fear that if I wasn't 'impressive,' I'd be worthless. I had to grieve the years I'd lost being someone I wasn't.
But I also discovered who I actually was beneath all the conditioning. I found my authentic desires, my real values, my genuine gifts. I remembered the creative, passionate, authentic person I'd been before I learned to perform.
After Getting Unbound, I joined The Seeker's Path to discover my soul's true calling. Through that program, I realized I was meant to help other corporate professionals break free and build businesses aligned with their truth.
I quit my corporate job. I started my own consulting business helping purpose-driven entrepreneurs with authentic marketing. I built a life and business that actually reflected who I was.
It wasn't easy. I took a significant pay cut at first. Some people thought I was crazy for leaving such a 'great' job. But for the first time in my adult life, I was happy. I was free. I was myself.
The Results
Left unfulfilling corporate career
Discovered authentic self and true desires
Built business aligned with soul's purpose
Now helps others do the same
Experiences daily joy and fulfillment
Lives authentically instead of performing
Earns more now than in corporate role
In Their Words
"The Seeker's Path didn't just help me navigate my awakening—it helped me understand that my awakening was the most important thing that ever happened to me. What I thought was a breakdown was actually a breakthrough into the life my soul came here to live. I'm forever grateful."
